B. Prorokov dedicated many paintings for the Cold War propaganda series, anti-imperialist and Anti USA graphics. As a person who fought in the WWII, he created many drawings against war, fascism, dictatorship. Propoganded peace and anti-war, recalled in his works the horrors of the war and urged them not to forget.
Boris Prorokov (Russian: Пророков Борис Иванович), Russian soviet graphic artist, People's Artist of the USSR, Stalin Prize winner, Lenin Prize winner (b. 1911). He fought in the Second World War, was bruised. After the war he continued his anti-war propaganda. The main theme of his paintings is anti-war and anti-imperialist propaganda. Boris Prorokov worked mainly in black and white colors, which emphasized the whole horror of war, mourning and exploitation. A very characteristic Soviet artist with a subtle vision of the world.
